The evolution of Santa Barbara Fun began in 2002 at Lou Grant Parent-Child Workshop, with efforts to educate and share simple “off the beaten path” active adventures, and make them easy to find.

We realized in the ensuing years that these top kid-friendly destinations are also attractive even to adults who are “kids at heart.” So this 100% family-tested handbook now allows you to choose from more than 226 world-class escapes. It’s the essential guide to the Santa Barbara area. It’s the fun lover’s bible.

Our Mission Statement is to educate visitors and long-time locals of all ages of the value of leaving the computer and TV behind, and getting OUT to even the smallest trip, whether it’s discovering Santa Barbara’s ultimate attraction, volunteering or exploring paths less traveled.

This guide book was founded to share ways to discover unforgettable, magic moments for friends and families to experience together and develop deeper relationships.

Santa Barbara Fun readers recognize that fun hunting in “the nearest faraway place”, and immersing themselves in the experience, reaps lifetime memories.
